Book Details + Condition: Laura Zehring Dosch (Elizabeth, NJ). First Edition, 1911. Very scarce. Six (6) bound issues in three-quarters leather binding with marbled boards. Collection of the January through June issues of "The Cat Review", published in 1911. "The Cat Review" was a well-known early specialist cat fancy magazine, launched in June 1903. In 1903, the publication was owned and published by Mr & Mrs Oliver L. Dosch of Dayton, OH; its first issue appeared on June 25, 1903. In 1907, "The Cat Review" moved to Elizabeth, NJ. This volume contains advertisements for breeding cats as well as short articles on topics such as breeding, different cat breeds, competitions, health and diet, diseases, catteries, and more. Advertisements are illustrated with black-and-white photographs of cats. Please see photographs for each issue's Table of Contents.
